SKULL VALLEY
Inspired by my relationship with my own father. For the first several decades of my life, I wished he had taught me the stuff that really matters to a young man. You know. Baseball. Home repairs. Cooking on a grill. But that wasn't my dad.
Eventually, I came to realize he passed on something much more important.
When I met some amazing people who were determined to protect those they love and others they deemed worthy, the two elements mixed and became my debut novel.
A LIFE OF NO COINCIDENCE
During a conversation with an agnostic friend, he asked, "What would it look like if someone heard 'your God's will' with perfect clarity?"
I quickly responded, "He'd probably get into a lot of trouble."
Years later, I had a different conversation. This one was about culpability.
If you toss these two thoughts into a novel and add a few twists... you get a life like no other.
